What inspires you? A close friend. A relative. How does that inspiration impact you? Does it make you want to change your attitude, or encourage you to do better? That's what inspiration is suppose to do – leave a positive impact.

Quilters know how inspiration can change them. We see a quilt that makes our jaw drop because of the shear beauty of it, and the most natural response inside is "I could never do that". But we know, in reality, we could. We're just afraid that it would never look as pretty, and the points won't match up quite as nice, or some other excuse that keeps us from stepping outside our box of comfort.
I challenge you and myself, in 2020, to be inspired and then try to be the one that inspires someone else. When you quilt from the heart, there is always inspiration - from within, and eventually outward. You never know how your courage to try something new may affect someone else in such a manner, that they become determined to explore their creativity, also.
Take a class. Teach a class. Gather with others for a day of sewcial sewing, or enjoy a day of partying with fellow embroiderers. Share what you know, listen to those who guide you, and finally, just stick the needle to the fabric and make it sew!
Happy 2020! Let us help you be inspired, and then share with us, so your inspiration will spread to everyone.
