I have to admit, I'm not a big Halloween fan. But it's fun watching everyone dress up and pretend to be someone or something else for a day. And I do miss the annual collection of candy stashes my kids would possess (and yes, I did go through theirs on occasion and "borrow" some of the sweet stuff I deemed "too sugary" for them.)
So while the rest of the quilting world seems to be at Quilt Market in Houston this weekend, it was not possible for us to attend this year. So Randy and I decided to take the bikes out for what will probably be our last "overnighter" weekend of the year. We met this interesting gentleman at a restaurant in Gunnison, Saturday night. His name was Don, and was not all that talkative... but the food was delicious!
And Sunday, starting off at a brisk 32 degrees, we rode over North Cochetopa Pass between Gunnison and Saguache, on our way back home to Cañon.
It was a great ride and we took advantage of our unusually warm Colorado October weather. But I'm actually looking forward to those cold snowy days, when all there is to do is... QUILT!
