It's been 3 years since I set up my first Janome machine in the back of a bookstore on Main Street in Cañon City. What's that phrase about fastening your seatbelt?
I seriously only wanted to sell machines, teach people how to sew, and get them excited about my hobby that had turned into both a passion and a therapy.
But life happens: the good, the bad, the ugly, and then the good again.
We have to accept we will all go through valleys. It's just a matter of finding a way through them, no matter how dark they get. Sewing and quilting was my way through.
I sincerely get a great deal of happiness from watching those around me learn, create, and grow their talent. And I will always be humbled at those whose talents far surpass my own. I hope I never stop learning, and I continue to make those cloth purses for many years to come.
We are celebrating our 3rd Anniversary for the next couple of weeks. Here's some early pics. Enjoy.
On July 1, 2013 we moved into our current location: The Little Brick Building.
