A Thread-aholic in Colorado

I might need sunglasses to do this project...

I love bright!  I simply love it. 

I chose some very bright fabric to do my Hoopsisters' Sewn Seeds Sampler quilt.  Along with bright threads. (I had the most fun picking out the thread... yes, I'm strange, but that's what a self-proclaimed "thread-a-holic" does.)

Here's my first block.  Do you THINK I'm going to have fun with this??

It only started out as a one-pager...

Well, I wanted to do a single-page flyer highlighting some of the deals I'm offering this Christmas Season. But one page turned into two, then three...  What can I say?  I've been a graphic designer for over 30 years.

Definition...

First Stitches: 2 Years... wowsers!

My, how things change over the course of a couple of years. 

I can get all philosophical and spew forth words of earned wisdom and knowledge from all the events of the last couple of years. Or I can just say the bottom line:  I'm so grateful for the work God has done in my life. 

He's used lots of tears and joys to bring me to the place where I better understand the phrase "A grateful heart protects you from negative thinking." 

In the last 2 years, I've gained a beautiful granddaughter, but lost 2 parents. I've been humbled with the knowledge, that while I think I might be in control of any situation, I'm truly not. And while we all wish to live on the mountain top, we have to go through the valley to get there.

Well, crappers!  I said I wasn't going to get philosophical.

So anyway... I'm very grateful for all my friends, customers, and most of all my Randy. You all have made First Stitches Quilt Shop & Sewing Store a success.
