"Boot Camp" - Scrappy Rag Christmas Stocking

An unlikely duo teamed up today to teach the Scrappy Rag Christmas Stocking Class. Randy did his part to "whip" the students in line with the cutting and stripping and sewing. Claire did her job, staying the course, and showing them how to make the cuff and how to finish them up.

Kid's Camp and Mr. Bobbins

Another great Kid's Camp and we even had a visitor. A hummingbird flew into the store during class and kept bobbing around trying to find his way back out. He would flutter for a while, then take rest. We named him Mr. Bobbins. (see last picture)

The girls did great on their totebags and accessories!

So the ONE day I forget my iPhone with camera...

I get in 25 new bolts of fabric from Hoffman and Art Gallery.

PLUS, we had Kids Camp today... NO iPhone so NO pictures.

And to think I was lecturing my 17-year-old how important it is to always make sure you have everything, when you walk out the door.

Here's a few new fabric samplings (taken with my webcam on the computer... not all that flattering)

Reasons why I'm a Thread-aholic

I love to watch an embroidery machine do its magic with different threads
The combination of thread colors, when stitched into a design, amaze me with the outcome
And the top reason why I'm a Thread-aholic: the usage of said threads, will justify the purchase of additional threads to replenish the threads just used...

I shall never dread, having too much thread!

Kool Kaleidoscope Class #2 - Wrapping up

KK Class #2 had their last session tonight and the quilts look trés cool!

ANNOUNCEMENT: For everyone who participated in the Kool Kaleidoscope Classes, we will have a "KK Class Reunion & Front Porch Ice Cream Social" on Tuesday, July 23rd at 6pm. We want to see all 14 quilts and get a group picture! So mark the date. (Curious on-lookers are welcomed, also... and we are offering another KK Class starting August 22)
