Just got it in — a "bling bling" maker.  Well, actually it's a Silhouette Cameo Cutter. I made my very first "bling bling" tonight! (this is my idea of a hot time in the city on a Friday night).

This cutter will cut everything from regular weight paper to heavy card stock and vinyl.  AND it also cuts custom shapes from fabric for applique projects.

No more purchasing expensive individual dies with only a couple of designs.  You can choose from hundreds of designs, OR creative your own with Artistic Suite 6.0.  Use it for scrapbooking, appliqué, sewing, quilting, home decor, and so much more!

I also carry the Artistic Suite 6.0 software, which digitizes embroidery designs, creates shapes, and can incorporate even more "bling bling" into your embroidery projects.

You bet I will be giving a demo on these soon.  I'm so excited to see the possibilities!

New little skirts "for the grandbaby"

The daughter came to work with me today and we made 3 Circle Skirts for the grandbaby.

These are called "Circle Skirts" and they can actually be made for all ages/sizes.  The pattern and instructions can be found at Danamadeit.com.

"No thinking allowed" - The Scrappy Rag Quilt Class

Randy has always been good at making messes, and today was no exception. But today it was a GOOD mess!!!  While it was tempting to plan and plot the colors and the scraps, Randy enforced his "no thinking allowed" rule and for the most part, the class was compliant. 

There were lots of laughter in this class.  (Randy does have a book for sale explaining his method and madness to this... click here)

Stayed tuned!  There was talk of a "scrappy rag quilt stocking" class in August. Start saving those scraps now.

Colors and patterns in fabric is a whole lot of fun when you make a Stack and Whack quilt.  PJ's passion for this quilt method makes for a great class.  Another class starts on Tuesday night!  I can't wait to see the designs coming out of that one!!
